Water Project

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School has taken a significant step in addressing the persistent water challenges faced by students at the encampment. For a long time, access to clean and reliable water had been a major issue, affecting both the daily activities and overall well-being of the students. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the PTA decided to intervene by providing a sustainable solution to ensure constant water supply.

After thorough planning and consultation, the PTA facilitated the installation of a water pump, which draws water from a reliable source to meet the needs of the students. This modern water pump is designed to ensure a steady flow of water, reducing the frequent shortages that had previously disrupted the students’ daily routines. With this system in place, students no longer have to worry about water scarcity, especially during critical times like bathing, cooking, and cleaning.

To further enhance the water supply system, the PTA also installed three large polytanks to store water. These tanks, strategically placed around the encampment, serve as backup reservoirs, ensuring that even in times of high demand, the students have sufficient access to water. The polytanks also help to regulate the distribution of water across the encampment, making the system more efficient and reliable.

This initiative by the PTA has had an immediate and profound impact on the students’ living conditions. The consistent water supply has improved hygiene standards and made daily tasks easier for everyone at the encampment. The school community expressed immense gratitude to the PTA for their foresight and dedication to solving this critical issue, as it will significantly improve the quality of life for current and future students.
