Donation of items to the ict lab by OT 74

The Old Toms Year Group of 1974, have made a remarkable donation to the school’s ICT lab as they celebrate 50 years when they completed. Their generous contribution includes four brand new desktop personal computers, two 2.5hp air conditioners, two Solatek voltage regulators, and four ceiling fans. This donation comes as a timely intervention, aimed at enhancing the learning environment and ensuring that the ICT lab is well-equipped to meet the growing demands of digital education.

The provision of the new desktop computers will significantly improve the capacity of the lab, enabling more students to access technology and gain hands-on experience in ICT. These computers will serve as essential tools for both academic learning and practical skills development, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the technological challenges of the modern world. With this boost in resources, the lab will be better suited to support both individual and group learning activities.

To complement the new computers, the Old Toms also donated two powerful 2.5hp air conditioners to create a comfortable working environment in the ICT lab. Maintaining a cool and conducive atmosphere is essential for both the students and the equipment, as it helps prevent overheating of the machines and ensures that students can focus on their lessons without distractions. The addition of four ceiling fans further enhances the ventilation and comfort within the lab.

Additionally, the two Solatek voltage regulators donated by the Year Group of 1974 will help safeguard the sensitive ICT equipment from power fluctuations and electrical surges. This thoughtful contribution ensures that the lab’s new and existing equipment will be well-protected, allowing for uninterrupted learning and minimizing the risk of damage. The school administration and students expressed deep gratitude to the Old Toms for their generous and forward-thinking support, which will have a lasting impact on the students’ learning experience.
